St Peter’s Guest Wing is a beautifully spacious area that encompasses an L shaped bedroom overlooking the surrounding forests, an ensuite bathroom, a very large community room with TV, DVD, Chromecast and Wifi throughout, as well as a small, fully equipped kitchen. St Peter’s community room has amazing views of the surrounding valley and sunrises. We fondly call the bedroom the Light room as it is bathed in light and is a perfect, peaceful space for retreat or general stay. The room sleeps 3 adults with 1 Queen size bed and 1 King Single bed.  St Peter’s Guest Wing is situated at the end of the main monastery building. It joins the monastic community’s cells and living areas via a central hallway off the community room. Guests are welcome to join the daily Divine Office and to participate in the prayer life and work of the monastery. Those who choose to retreat may do so privately in a self-catered capacity for Airbnb rates or as part of the community. Self-catered stays give you the ensuite bedroom, kitchen and very large community room for your private use. Those adults over 19 years of age wanting a monastic retreat that includes work and being part of daily SEASEM life, are invited to stay a minimum of 3 and maximum of 14 nights; no more than 2 weeks. The monastery is set in an idyllic rural setting on 50 acres of St Enoch and St Elijah Monastery (SEASEM). Located inland from the Bay of Islands and Waima Forest, the monastery and cottage provide an ideal retreat space for individuals or groups wanting quiet time with the convenience of nearby amenities and access to the beaches, ancient forests, spirituality, history and activities the north has to offer.
